Retirement Home Hrgić was founded in 2005 and it carries on the tradition of Foster Care Home Hrgić that existed 2001-2005. Our Home helps families and individuals to deal with and solve problems that occur in the third life cycle.
We are situated near the entrance of the town of Samobor, in the calm surrounding that provides our residents peace that they deserve. We provide 24/7 care and welfare for our residents, and try to meet their social and health needs.
We provide regular medical supervision at the level of primary health care in cooperation with community health center in Samobor. According to the needs of our residents, we take care of pharmacological and other therapies (for example physical therapy, which performs excellent results in the recovery of disabled and semi-disabled persons) and provide food in accordance with the norms of gerontology and health needs. We are equipped with medical devices which are used for therapeutic purposes (oxygen concentrator, aspirator, inhaler, TEENS, pulse oximeter). Blood sugar levels and blood pressure of our residents are preventively controlled on daily bases. For less mobile people we have access to wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and canes, as well as toilet wheelchairs and chairs. We secure anti-decubitus mattresses for immobile people to prevent complications caused by long recumbency. We have especially big experience in working with people that have suffered from psychological and physical changes caused by dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia and condition after stroke. We accept in our institution residents regardless of diagnosis and their current psycho-physical state.
In our home we take care of fulfilling the desire of every individual. At the request of residents we provide additional services in our home such as the organization of birthday parties, name days and other celebrations in specially designed facilities, check-ups with your doctor, hairdresser, manicurist, etc. In the festive time we animate our protégés with creative workshops.
The owner of the Retirement Home, Ms. Jadranka Hrgić, was awarded with the medal of town of Samobor at a special conference of the City Council.
